A (hot) day at the festival!

We took the kids to Matthews Alive today. It was a great time other then the heat and the fact that I have a terrible cold. I really wanted the kids to get out of the house so I put on a happy face and off we went. I mean once you have kids it's not about you anymore lol. The kids are not bothered by the heat at all. Kyle rode rides and played games. Kailey rode the train with her brother and didn't even need her mommy or daddy to ride with her. She is growing up way to fast.
Well I can't wait till the next festival which will be next weekend in Ashville.

First day of school

Today was the first day of school for my school kids. I only had 6 kids tomorrow I will have 8. It was not that bad of a day. We had circle time and even made a school bus. The kids loved to paint, it was everywhere. We got to work with the kids on feeding goals and self help skills. Hopefully it will continue to be a succesfull year and not a stressfull year. I will keep you guys up to date. Oh one quick story about one of my little fellows. I will call him D. D was supposed to start back today but the bus took him to the wrong school and no one knew he was not one of their students. Poor little fellow he was just going with the flow. Everything got worked out and he will be with me tomorrow. The bus and other school are at fault. Iam just glad he was safe.

IT'S OVER

My summer break that is. I can't believe it's time to go back to work already. Today was my first day back, just getting my room ready for next week. I love what I do however I also love being at home with my kids and not getting into a rut. I feel like when Iam working all my day it like is getting up, going to work, coming home and putting the kids to bed. Somtimes I wish I could stay home with my kids and take care of them instead of taking care of other people's kids. I do feel that this is my calling so I guess there is a reason we aren't rich.

Lazy 5 ranch

We took a little family trip to Lazy 5 ranch on Friday. If you have never been before I highly recomend it. It is so much fun and the kids love it to! There are so many animals around the wagon, your not sure which one to feed first. This was Kailey's first time and she loved it. She really loved feeding the animals or should I say throwing the feed on the ground.
Kyle loves, loves, loves, animals and was so excited. Everytime we saw an animal he would get so loud and excited. He kept saying hear birdie or hear little goat. Like they would just say ok here we come. Anyway it was so much fun can't wait to go back.

A day at the park!

So we went to the park the other day with Shannon, James and Maddison. It was so beautiful, the wind was blowing just a tad, the sun was shinning and the hummity was down. The kids were having a blast running after each other and playing in the dirt. Who knew we would go to the park just to play in tones of sand, gravel and rocks. They had the best time. It's funny the things that can keep kids busy for hours.

Open House

So Kyle will be starting T-K at Hickory Grove Christian School and Iam very excited. We went tonight for open house. Love his teacher Mrs. Bradley, you can tell she really loves what she does. Kyle was not very excited, but once he saw all the fun things to do I think he liked it a little better. It was a hard choice for me to leave him out of kindergarten this year but I feel I made the right choice.

First blog

8/8/08

Well this is my first time blogging and the funny thing is no one knows I started this so there is no one to read it. Hopefully someone will read it soon if not I will just do them for myself to help relieve some stress. I learned about all this in my sunday school class. It is fun to read some of the other girls in my class to see what is going on in their lives. Hopefully I will not get to consumed in life and will continue to blog.

My little shudder bug!
