Blogging to be Blogging

Well I really should be in bed, it's 11:00 but I decided I needed to give my blog
a facelift and I finally figured out how to get a cute background. I can't believe
Christmas has come andgone, and of course we got or should I say I got the
kids to many gifts, next yearI am really going to let them choose three gifts
a piece. I do this every year and everyyear I say the same thing, but
I mean it this time. I don't want my kids to grow upexpected this I really
want them to understand the true meaning of Christmas.

We did have a great Christmas, we did so many neat things leading up
to the big day.We rode the train with Santa, saw some singing bears
and saw a big tree get lit in the freezing cold. Here are a few pics:

Well I hope to have a better year this upcoming year, I will be turning
30 which scares mefor some reason, and there are several changes
I would like to make so I hopefor all to pray for me that these changes
happen for me.

Pligrams and Indians

Well today Kyle had his first class program. They retold the first Thanksgiving as told by a bunch of 5 year olds. It was the cutest thing. They each had a speaking part, and they all sang songs. You could tell they worked really hard. Here are a few pics.

Here is a little video of the class singing.

Pretending

Well today I pretended I was a photographer. Funds are very tight but I really want some candid shots of the kids, so I had to take matters in my own hands and snap some shots myself. The kids were not very corapertative. I got a few that will have to do. It really stinks not having any money. I really wanted Heather do take the kids pics, but what are you to do when there are no funds in the bank :(

Well here are a few I took.

Trick or Treating Fun!

So we went to my friends Shannon's moms neighborhood for some trick or treating fun. Here are James, Maddie and Kyle beside a huge pumpkin. They had such a great time as well as the adults. The neighbors were more than generous with their candy. There were so many families out and lots of houses were decorated up so cool.

Here is me and mrs witch. She was very spooky and funny.

Here comes Bumblebee to save the day!!!!

Kyle turned 5!!!!

I can't believe my little boy is five today. It just seems like yesterday I was in the hospital ready to have him. Time goes by way to fast. He has grown into a wonderful little man full of life and energy. I have so many hopes and dreams for him. I told him on Sat. that I was sad that he was growing up and he looked at me and said "mom it will be ok" and he also informed me that since he was 5 I no longer needed to tell him what to do. I did not get this memo that he is know an adult, I guess he needs to go and get a job :) Anyway Happy Birthday my man!!!

Aw Shucks

So today Kyle had his first field trip and it was to a pumpkin patch/corn maze. We started off with a hayride and then went to find the perfect pie pumpkin, which Kyle asked was I going to make a pie, I think I just laughed and said huh?
Next we went through the corn maze, this was very interesting. It took us a little time to find out way out. Kyle was scared at first but in the end he went through and had a good time.
We then ate lunch and then went to the petting area. In this area there was a pretend cow that you could milk, Kyle milked that cow like a pro. I was so proud :) We had a great time and I have lots of pictures but for some reason I can't get them up :(

Just some thoughts

Well I don't really have much to write about but I felt the need to post something. Kyle got a beta fish today. It is a male and it red but he wanted to name it goldie. Not sure why but it is his fish.

Kyle is going to be 5 in two weeks and it's so hard to believe. It just seems like yesterday I was in the hospital in labor and the doctor telling me he thought this baby was going to be 1olbs. I was thinking holly cow. I ended up having a C-section and he was only 8lbs 11onces. I love being a mom so much and I miss him being young. Kailey is still young but for some reason it's not the same as your first.

Iam so ready to have a different job, not sure how much longer I can work with my current boss, I will continue to pray for her (she needs it)

I guess that is all for now, hopefully my next post will be more exciting.

A day to remember

So has we all know today is September 11th. It was 7 years today that our world changed forever. I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing. I was still in college and was going to a class when I passed by a tv and saw what was going on and there I sat for the next few hours, eyes glued.

Well today when I was driving into my neighborhood someone had hung two american flags on the neighborhood sign. I almost had tears in my eyes. I thought that who ever did that did a wonderful thing. Anyways I just can't even imagine what those people went through. I hope that we never go through anything like that again, the scary thing is that Iam afraid that one day my children may go through something like this because it seems this world is just becoming more scary everyday.

A little something fun from Faith

I was tagged for the first time by Faith with this "quirky" meme.
Here are the rules:
1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Mention the rules on your blog.
3. Tell about six unspectacular quirks of yours.
4. Tag six fellow bloggers by linking them.
5. Leave a comment on each of the six blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged.

Ok here is goes

1) I always park in the same place at target. When I enter the parking lot I always have
to park to the left at the door and near a buggy thing, so if I have the kids I don't have
to walk a far way. The other day I went with my husband and I told him he had to park
in the spot I always do.

2) I always have to sleep on the right side of the bed when you are facing it. When I sleep I have my leg bent and If I sleep on the other side then I have to turn and face into the other person
and I don't like to face away from the person when I sleep.

3) When I go on vacation, I always always have to take my pillow. I have done this ever since I was a little girl. It just doesn't feel right not to have my pillow.

4) My daughter never has been a day in her short life without a hair bow. This is somthing Iam very funny about. I do not like her hair to be in her face at all.

5) When I go to the grocery store I have a certain order I go up and down the isles. I don't like to do it anyother way because I might forget something.

6) Everyday I have three websites that I must check blogspot of course, people and myspace. I wouldn't want to miss somthing important.

Thanks Faith for my first tag. It was soooo fun!!!!

WHY, WHY, WHY?

Why does life have to be so hard and unfair? I don't understand. I am having some major issues with one of my supervisors. There was meeting between me and my supervisors that took place and what was told to me on that day is now being turned around and they are telling their boss a completly different story. I just don't understand the need to lie. I have worked at this job for 6 years and love what I do. Thats what makes this so hard. I want to leave beacuse of my supervisor but I want to stay because of the kids.

It is hard for me to find a job with EC children beacuse the degress and teaching license I have limits me. I love working with EC children and don't want to do anything else. I just don't understand why this women is coming in trying to get people on her bad side. I mean our center is not in the best standings right know due to some things that have happended so why would you want to treat your employees like dirt. She just wants control over everything. Well anyway Iam just gonig to pray for her. There must be a reason I am still here I just wish God would let me know already. I don't know how much more I can take.

A (hot) day at the festival!

We took the kids to Matthews Alive today. It was a great time other then the heat and the fact that I have a terrible cold. I really wanted the kids to get out of the house so I put on a happy face and off we went. I mean once you have kids it's not about you anymore lol. The kids are not bothered by the heat at all. Kyle rode rides and played games. Kailey rode the train with her brother and didn't even need her mommy or daddy to ride with her. She is growing up way to fast.
Well I can't wait till the next festival which will be next weekend in Ashville.

First day of school

Today was the first day of school for my school kids. I only had 6 kids tomorrow I will have 8. It was not that bad of a day. We had circle time and even made a school bus. The kids loved to paint, it was everywhere. We got to work with the kids on feeding goals and self help skills. Hopefully it will continue to be a succesfull year and not a stressfull year. I will keep you guys up to date. Oh one quick story about one of my little fellows. I will call him D. D was supposed to start back today but the bus took him to the wrong school and no one knew he was not one of their students. Poor little fellow he was just going with the flow. Everything got worked out and he will be with me tomorrow. The bus and other school are at fault. Iam just glad he was safe.

IT'S OVER

My summer break that is. I can't believe it's time to go back to work already. Today was my first day back, just getting my room ready for next week. I love what I do however I also love being at home with my kids and not getting into a rut. I feel like when Iam working all my day it like is getting up, going to work, coming home and putting the kids to bed. Somtimes I wish I could stay home with my kids and take care of them instead of taking care of other people's kids. I do feel that this is my calling so I guess there is a reason we aren't rich.

Lazy 5 ranch

We took a little family trip to Lazy 5 ranch on Friday. If you have never been before I highly recomend it. It is so much fun and the kids love it to! There are so many animals around the wagon, your not sure which one to feed first. This was Kailey's first time and she loved it. She really loved feeding the animals or should I say throwing the feed on the ground.
Kyle loves, loves, loves, animals and was so excited. Everytime we saw an animal he would get so loud and excited. He kept saying hear birdie or hear little goat. Like they would just say ok here we come. Anyway it was so much fun can't wait to go back.

A day at the park!

So we went to the park the other day with Shannon, James and Maddison. It was so beautiful, the wind was blowing just a tad, the sun was shinning and the hummity was down. The kids were having a blast running after each other and playing in the dirt. Who knew we would go to the park just to play in tones of sand, gravel and rocks. They had the best time. It's funny the things that can keep kids busy for hours.

Open House

So Kyle will be starting T-K at Hickory Grove Christian School and Iam very excited. We went tonight for open house. Love his teacher Mrs. Bradley, you can tell she really loves what she does. Kyle was not very excited, but once he saw all the fun things to do I think he liked it a little better. It was a hard choice for me to leave him out of kindergarten this year but I feel I made the right choice.

First blog

8/8/08

Well this is my first time blogging and the funny thing is no one knows I started this so there is no one to read it. Hopefully someone will read it soon if not I will just do them for myself to help relieve some stress. I learned about all this in my sunday school class. It is fun to read some of the other girls in my class to see what is going on in their lives. Hopefully I will not get to consumed in life and will continue to blog.

My little shudder bug!
